IFC finished the Autumn half of the PIBFAL league season with a hard fought win over Prague Devils who they leapfrog into second place before the Winter break. It was a physical game but not dirty and it was a fun game against a very good team who didn’t spend the game moaning at the referee or IFC.

IFC started strongly and Antrobus forced a good save from the Devils excellent goalkeeper after good work by Philbin after 2 minutes. Savant then saw a long shot screamer just clear the crossbar.

10’ 0-1 IFC: Some good work from the back by Reppin and Moreaux fed Roberts on the left wing. Roberts played a delightful cross field pass to Lopez whose shot was well saved by the keeper only for Philbin to follow up and open the scoring.

Another good save from Philbin by the Devils keeper kept the score at 0-1 before Kazmierczak was called into action after a good Devils move.

33’ 1-1 Devils had threatened to equalize with Jaubert’s set pieces causing problems in the IFC defence, and did so when a long shot cannoned off the post, hit the unlucky Kazmierczak and went in the IFC net.

42’ 1-2 IFC: Both teams had chances with the keepers making good saves before Frederiksen put IFC ahead with a volley from a Martinez free kick.

55’ 1-3 IFC: Antrobus continued his fine scoring run with IFC’s 3rd after a good run by Philbin.

75’ Another good save by Kazmierczak in the IFC goal prevented Devils from pulling a goal back.

81’ 1-4 IFC: Frederiksen put the game beyond Devils with a low 30 yard shot into the bottom corner.
